Chris & Carol Hyne approached Neue in the early building stages of their project. The lighting layout which had already been completed was the industry norm for a residential project, meaning lots of downlighting.
During our initial meeting with Hyne we began to identify key areas which would help determine the best lighting design and lighting products for their project.
Both Hyne and Neue reviewed the lighting plan and lighting products until an outcome which fulfilled all lighting, design, and budgetary requirements was found.
It was important to Hyne that the design and products were simple and offered great lighting (they were in luck, because that is exactly what Neue is all about). To give a relaxed and beachy vibe all fittings are with a matt white finish.
We used our elegant Boma Pendant in the kitchen and study areas to provide amazing task lighting along with our Vizi track lighting upstairs for bright and flexible lighting should Hyne wish to illuminate specific objects such as paintings and furniture. The down lighting used gives minimum glare and offers an extremely clear light, all in all making each room comfortable and well lit.
Something of great importance to Hyne was having well lit varandahs and stairs. To do this we introduced the theme linear lighting to the project, specifically using external LED strip lighting and diffused mounting profile. This allowed us to easily light up each verandah along with the main stairs while at the same time highlighting the timbers and architecture.
To keep the theme of linear lighting flowing we used a mixture of linear lighting and down lighting for the internal staircase.
All of lighting is dimmable. To make dimming and installing the external linear lighting as easy as possible we used our wireless kapego RF dimmers, this enables Hyne to dim the verandahs and main staircase easily.
A big thank you to Chris & Carol Hyne for your support and business. It was a pleasure working with you and we’re so pleased that you’re happy.
